  • Updates

  • We now have 1. A new targets section on the month view, showing targets and actuals, 2. A new form for inputting targets, and 3. A new left navigation and new icons. I much prefer it this way but we'll see how the beta testers like it.

  • Went to The Land of Legends theme park/waterpark today.

    • Loved that the place was empty.

    • Loved the concept - combo of theme & water park - had a few really decent rollercoasters.

    • Loved the Dolphin show. Weirdly got choked up watching it - I couldn't believe the stuff they could do.

    • Loved that it was much more compact than most theme parks - much less time spent walking around - basically two central areas - one for rides and one for water slides.

    • Loved the big wave pool area with the bar near it. Could see us spending a really fun day here when it's proper hot and there are much more people.

    • Hated that you had to pay for everything with an nfc bracelet.

    • Hated that they let us pay for the Fastpass even though there was basically no one there.

    • Hated the extent to which everything was outrageously expensive - e.g. €30 for 2 cocktails.

  • Update

  • Began applying for insurance earlier on, which led me to double check the license requirements. It's still not clear to me right now whether the van will be considered a Category C vehicle (because it's above 3500kg) or a Category B vehicle (because that's what's on my license) in the eyes of the law.

  • Options for CVRT week

    • Option A: Smiths service, Noel drive and wait for full day. 750 for lorry, 239 for service. 989 total.

    • Option B: Ian Quincy (Kieran’s pal) picks up from Richhill, he services, Noel brings to and back from CVRT in Dundalk.

  • Obviously Option B makes the most sense so going to go with that.

  • Tasks

    • Follow up with Noel re: lifting van next week

    • Complete insurance application

      • Find vehicle ID number

      • Have full PDF filled, but holding off on this until I have clarity on whether I'll be able to drive the truck

  • Still in Antalya. We met up with Faith's colleague Matthieu, his wife and their son in the morning and rented a speedboat for 2 hours. It took us out along the coast and to several caves and a waterfall, then finally to a beach where we all jumped in - the water felt very cold at the beginning but the longer we stayed in the more comfortable it got - was a really nice trip with really nice people.
